  • This sauce is great on pork and chicken, and any number of other things.  I like to put it in my potato and macaroni salad as well.  My favorite way to use it though is as a dippin sauce for fried chicken tenders.  Dip them in the sauce then in a bit of blue cheese dressing, yum.  Try this stuff.  You will not be disappointed.

    Ingredients
9 ounce Dijon mustard or yellow mustard (I use yellow)
        1 cup cider vinegar
        1 cup water
        1 1/4 cup sugar
        1/2 cup honey
1 fresh orange ; or 3/4 cup orange juice
        1/2 teaspoon dry mustard powder
1 1/2 tablespoon crushed red pepper
        1 teaspoon salt
        1 teaspoon Black pepper
1 tablespoon cornstarch ; dissolved in 1/4 cup water

    INSTRUCTIONS

In a 2 quart stockpot, blend mustard, water and vinegar

Stir in sugar until dissolved, add honey

    Add orange or juice

Stir in mustard powder, crushed red pepper, and add to pot

Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup water and add to pot

Heat slowly over low heat until sauce is thickened

Refrigerate overnight for flavors to develop.
