  • I purchased a used YS640. It works great and I have already cooked the best ribs I ever had on it.  I did notice that the auger makes noise when it runs. Is this normal?

  • Mine does but it's very very little noise.  Might make sure it's completely clean in the auger tube.

  • It is definitely auger noise.  I sounds like rubbing on one side.  It is intermittent.  Have you ever removed or adjusted the auger?

  •  bten: How is the noisy auger story evolving??  Just plain old curious.

  • cooking right now, I hear the auger, starting to think that I may be ok. Not really that noisy. It really is more of a buzz . Working from home today, I am cooking a pork butt to increase the seasoning.

    I may call Yoder tomorrow.
