Title: Downdraft on a CC DLX
Post by: Saddleman on January 04, 2018, 08:58:01 PM
I was looking at downdrafts on gmg DB,  has anyone done it with their camp chef grill?
I see some problems because our DLX vents from the back, not from the side.

I've never seen the need on mine.

I believe the down draft craze had subsided somewhat..The benefits are at lower temperatures and can cause problems when cooking at higher temps unless the device can be opened up to allow for better air flow..From what I have seen, the problems outweigh

the gains..The DLX should have a more even airflow around the cooking grate due to its centrally located chimney resulting in a more even cook and smoke distribution...   What is driving you towards a down draft?

I was just checking to see if anyone had used a downdraft in their camp chef DLX. This is what I love about this forum all You have to do is ask.  If it ain’t broke why fix it. So thanks for the feedback. Keep smoking Dan
