Chris Becker and Cookinpellets.com (http://www.cookinpellets.com) has advised that they would like to give away some pellets to one lucky PelletFan! Chris is giving away fifteen (15) 40 lb bags of his pellets and will also pay for shipping to the winner. This is a $370 value. OK folks, THE RULES for this drawing:
1. You must be a member of this forum as of today's date to enter
2. The entry period will be until noon Eastern time on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 -- which is Pelletfan.com's 6 month anniversary
3. You must post some declarative sentence in this thread which indicates that you want in. Examples -- "Please enter me", "I'm in", etc.
4. Just David, since you just won the survey monkey giveaway, you are not able to enter.
5. I will add folks names to a list in this post as they enter. The number you are assigned in the list will be your number in the drawing.
6. We will use a random number generator to select the winner and announce the same in this thread after noon Eastern time on Feb. 22
7. The winner will need to provide a name and address to cookinpellets.com in order to have delivery made.
Please note -- if there are any future giveaways of any items, the system of allowing folks to enter may change. Bent has listened to the poll information and persuaded me on this one, in part due to our anniversary date and in bigger part as a tribute to Chris and cookinpellets.com generous nature. I am not so egalitarian, and being a retired lawyer I understand both precedent and disclaimers. :pig:

Please add me to the list. CookinPellets are the best I've used to date. Sadly, I'm so far away that it's not $ friendly.
These could ship to my werk and I could disperse them to fellow pellet poopers. IF they joined the forum of course. :beer:

what season is it now? Isn’t sept prime elk hunting? My dream now hunt is for elk...I need to get out your way sometime and make it happen.

Did not have the time to go Bull hunting so I put in for a Cow tag in the North Sixes unit. Only thing not much public land in that area. You need to know someone to get access to hunt. Went down for 3 days and never got to hunt. It snowed to much on the land we get to hunt. All the Elk move down the hill to the flat land. Farmers fields were full of Elk. They were out sunning themselves.

My kid saved some big roasts out of his Elk this year so we can try them on the grill. Hope to fill my tag on last 2 days to hunt (Tue & Wed) this week. Definitely will post when I get chance to use them. I will also give some out to my friends from work to use also to see how they like them. From your Website it looks like there is a dealer just South of Eugene so we can get more if needed.

15 boxes showed up today.
I got home from work and opened the garage door and found 15 boxes of pellets. (wife moved them in for me :cool: :clap:) I wont have time to cook with them for a few weeks. Not sure of the flavors yet but I did see something that said "Apple mash" I think. I have never used anything but a cheap blend flavor pellet so any suggestions on what flavor for what food would be appreciated. More info when I get them open and when I get to use them.

I got the chance to use some of the Apple Mash pellets Saturday.

Cooked at 275 for 2-2 1/2 hrs. Nice day outside so had windows open and the smell from the grill smelled very good. Very mild smoke flavor.

Used the Perfect mix for some Elk burgers few nights ago. :clap: :cool: Very good forgot to take photos. :(
Gave a bag of perfect mix to a friend and he has cooked some burgers, steak and ribs and said he loves them. Trying to pass out a few more bags soon for others to try. When all is gone probably have to try one of those group buys....
Went trout fishing yesterday and keep one to try and smoke. Test run for the (100) Kokanee we hope to catch Monday at Odell Lake.
