Traeger has officially jumped the shark.

More marketing. The site states, alder and maple w/ a hint of citrus. Wonder what the hint of citrus is? Wood or? Price wise the same.
I would be interested in opinions of these "new" pellets.

Well I guess! A classic example of absurdity to regain attention.

I would have to say, you have nailed it Paul..Thinking about it, the bag colour is perhaps the biggest change.

I remember drinking that beer when you could only find it in the Midwest before Miller Coors took the Shandy nationwide. Will be curious to see where the pellets are distributed across the nation.

I wonder if it's just lemon (or some other citrus) oil? If I'm not mistaken, Traeger has been using oils in their pellets for quite some time.
Maybe it's just me, but I read "100% Food Grade Hardwood Pellets" as something different than "Food Grade 100% Hardwood Pellets". :-)

I saw those at the Traeger table at the fair this summer,
I'm curious if the smell/taste comes thru
I'd try them If I saw them in a store for a decent price

I do like the vanilla snowdrift porter. not so much the others.

If I want to add citrus to my cook, I will.
Treager pellets have never crossed my mind in any form.
I have a hard time believing any 'citrus' flavor is imparted in the smoking process...
