Well, I have finally come to a decision on my method for searing my food after the sous-vide process. I can't wait to try it. Here is a link to see it in action.

That's quite a gadget and only $19.95 at Harbor Freight. I do not know if it's true or not, but I've read that propane adds an odd flavor to the meat, if I use a torch, it's butane. BTW, I like my steaks seared a bit more than that clip shows, not charred, but more than that.

Have watched a bunch of their vids, Ninja has the idea, he doesn't do anything, and eats first.

You and Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor. ;)

That is the way I do it. I need to get a propane burner to sear outside in a cast iron pan...just too much smoke inside.

You could also clean the ice off of your steps with that to.

The one in my garage works really well on dead, dry weeds. Makes the area very clean and nice looking after a nice rain!
