Title: Elite Run Times Full Hopper?
Post by: jasonjax on March 09, 2019, 09:27:19 AM
How long do you guys get at say 275 running a full hopper? Wondering if I can go to bed and not worry about it running out. I wish it had a low pellet alert condition in the app.

about 1#/hr usage so unless you sleep for 18+ hours you should be OK

Seems to me when we did long runnings tests a Pro hopper would last about 18 hours. But we had programs that would run automatically and run the temps up & down, not just a steady temp.
You should have no issues. Remember to clean the burn pot out after a long cook before starting another one.

The same here. Pellet consumption grows exponentially as pit temperatures are raised. lower ambients and wind accelerates consumption even more.
