Title: Christmas in July, sort of...
Post by: 02ebz06 on July 04, 2023, 02:49:36 PM
Back in November when turkeys go on sale, I got two, one for then, one for now.

Put it in the CampChef for 1 hour at 225, then to 275 for remaining time.  ~3-1/2 hours total.
This was a weird bird.  When it was raw one side looked about 20% bigger than the other.
Even now the side on the right looks a little bigger.
Breast didn't get quite as dark a color as I expected.

Overall, it came out good.

And had some peach cobbler with the homemade peach ice cream for dessert.

I think the color is great a very nice golden color to the skin.
