I protect my phone number as much as I can. I would be happy if it never rings.  That said I love my phone for the apps it can run. Having all of the search and reference abilities is what I like most.

Yes we do and they are way smarter than we are. Kind of fun though when you aren't throwing them.

I voted no, but I carry one with me every day.   ::)

The company I work for owns it and lets me use it in exchange for being able to call me or send me emails.  I get a call or two a month and never after 9:00pm ( most of them in the car on my way home ).

The cost of the latest SmartPhones is right up there with what I paid for my pit.  :o

Yes I do have one.  Sort of have a love hate relationship love the fact I can do many facets of my job from the phone.  Hate the fact I can do many facets of my job from my phone. Lol

  My wife has a IPhone 5

Now BentMan, I know that you are now out there in Mayberryland, and signal strength is very important for you to check should you  consider making a purchase.

I am not attached to my smart phone in the way that you see many people today. I DO NOT Facebook, Instagram, Twitt, or any other form of social media communication. I also have some issues on who I want to receive text messages from.
Some people drive me crazy sending a message every time they have something happen in THEIR life. Like I need to know about it. Leave me alone.

On the plus side a smart phone allows the user to have instant access to other things at his disposal. Like weather mapping (when out golfing) or  GPS etc. etc.

I am an example of everything bad about smart phones. Live in it. Have to put it in a drawer to talk to my family. I am not proud of it.

My flip phone does all I need and that is make a phone call to talk to a person.

I agree with you Jim, and that is what I have.  I am even prepaid...but I would have one in a Heartbeat if I was not such a cheap screw!

Got my first one about 12 years ago...and get a new one about every 2 years.  Been a Samsung guy for the last 4-5 of them.
