Are You Cooking Anything for the College Football Playoff?
« on: January 05, 2018, 08:30:04 AM »

I can't really seem to get myself excited about the game and part of me says "I'm not even going to watch"  (to which Bent replies "You are so full of it!").

But I am actually thinking about wings on the Memphis Pro.  They are $2.50 a pound here -- a ridiculous price in my eyes -- but maybe will help get me in the mood.

I'm with Bent again.

Just the sight of NICK SABAN strutting out on the field will have your adrenaline pumping in high gear.

Would rather watch cement dry than to see Alabama and Saban on TV.  :puke: :puke: :puke:

I do wings about every other Saturday for lunch. $2.00 lb get around 5 lbs. Marinate them in hot sauce for about 3 hours, just add my rub to them and my 15 year old loves them as he will then coat them with buffalo sauce. Dang after reading your post, I know what I am having for lunch tomorrow!! :bbq:

Wow!  I guess everyone hates you when you win.  Was it that way with the Yankees with Babe Ruth and Celtics with Bill Russell?

Kristin, do you buy the Tyson frozen wings at Sam's Club?  I think they are less expensive than what you mentioned.  That is usually all I use.  I throw them on the grill frozen.  If I don't use the whole bag, I just reseal it and put it back in the freezer.

We don't have a Sam's Club nearby, so don't belong.  I just buy the fresh ones from the market. They use to be fairly cheap and all other parts are still cheap (I can often get thighs and drumsticks for 99 cents a pound), so I don't know why the wings are so expensive.

Don't have to worry about that, I will be out of town during the Championship Game, probably eating at a hotel restaurant (in Cleveland).  Maybe they will have some type of buffalo wing special for the game.  Gonna be a Marriott dinner for me.

Spent 90 nights in Marriotts in 2017.  Hoping I don't have to repeat that in 2018.
