  • Kroger in my area has pork butts for 99 cents a pound. It's been a long time since I've seen them that low here. Check your Kroger if you are in the Indiana area.

  • Wish I had a Kroger. Doing 80# of venison sausage next week and looking for some pork at a reasonable price.

  • Wegmans in PA had whole pork loins for $0.99/# between Christmas and New Years.  I picked up a 10# one and cut it into thick boneless chops.  May take some of them and cut into strips for jerky.  I got about 3 chops to a #.

  • Just used up the last 20 lbs pulled and froze. Gotta feed some hockey players this weekend. It's been on sale here at our Hy-Vee stores awhile back, but its been a couple months.  Would probably buy a dozen 8-9 lbers when it does. When using the pellet grill for long smokes, I always try to fill it up.

  • Thank you!  I guess Kroger own Food Lion, we don't have .99 cents, but $1.29 is cheap enough I will make some sausage!
