Bentley, with two large people and a loaded camper, bucking a 30-40 mph headwind on I-90 I have seen as little
as 18mpg  :puke:
The 1200 wing, 75mph, by myself, 40mpg, look for fuel at 200 miles.

In 1983 I was riding in Fresno to go help a friend with his car.  No helmet law, had one, almost always wore it, but not this time.  Was on a city street, wide 4 lane.  I was in left lane going around a Bronco and I swear this is as vivid in my mind now as it was 35 yeas ago...I said I am in this guys blind spot and I need to get out of here, hit the throttle (look at that Twin Star and you can imagine the response) and bingo, this guy changes lane.  Bye, bye Bentley.  10 stiches in head, 17 in left thigh...and real lucky!

Never had the Cojones to ever get back on one!  Ohh, he swerved to miss a cat the CHP told me as I was sitting in the gutter with someone holding my head up waiting for the ambulance...

...and all around STUPID driving habits people have adopted, it isn't safe
to drive in a tank anymore, let alone a motorcycle.

Do the letters have a meaning?

Right after we finished building our house I convinced my wife to let me keep them inside.  Lasted about a year while I was building a shop.  Sold them right before we had our first child...still have the itch and hope to one day get back to riding.

I would ride that again!  Although with me on it, it could probably on do 30mph!

KTMs are superb bikes and I'd love to own one, but all of their seats are too high for me.  I had to look elsewhere.

HA!

We used to invert the front wheel/handlebars and tow it behind a vehicle down a gravel road. Kinda like wakeboarding but ya gotta dodge the rocks.  :o Sometimes I wonder how we survived...

I've no pics of mine but it was a Triumph TR6C. Can't find anything on the www that looks even close.

I put a hard tail frame on it and it looked very cool. Fabricated some forward shift/brake controls, and it was easy to ride for short periods. Long rides? Not so much. No rear suspension is very hard on the back.

This is as close as I can find...
