  • I'm not a fan of Carolina style sauces. Way too vinegary for me.

  • Just tried on a spoon straight out of the bottle.  Very vinegary and tangy, just a tiny bit of heat and a peppery finish.  Just straight, it is too much vinegar for me.  I will try on some wings tonight, but think it may be too vinegary for chicken.  I am looking forward to trying this on pulled pork, may be just the right thing for the more fatty pork.  Thanks for the review, would have never tried this sauce without it

Glad to see the bottle may not go to waste since Bentley wasn't trying it again.

  • Thanks for a nice review.  I will have to pick up a bottle and try it out with some Chappell Hill smoked sausage.

  • Thanks for the review.  I have been looking at these new Heinz sauces since they don't use high fructose corn syrup.  I don't have a problem with it but the wife does and she is supposed to avoid it as much as possible.

I tend to like Carolina style vinegar based sauces.  Lately we have been using the Carolina Gold from Trader Joes a lot and while this looks to be quite a bit different than that, it would make me happy to find another vinegar based type of sauce locally that I like.

  • If you like a vinegar taste in your sauce, this is the one for you!
