  • Hello one and all.  I've been smoking for a 8 years or so on my WSM.  While I like it and the BBQ I get off it, going out to adjust it or close intakes every 45 minutes or so when the wind blows harder than a sneeze is getting irritating so I'm looking at Pellet smokers.

  • Welcome to Pelletfans!! I sold my WSM’s years ago, and have zero desire to return. What pellet cookers have your eye at this point?

  • I just started looking a short time ago.  The Smokin Bros 36" premier has the space I am looking for but I am really looking for an insulated unit.  My WSM makes great Q but it's affected by any breeze stronger than a sneeze and when it's below 32F, charcoal consumption goes way up.

  • I’ve heard nothing but good re: Smokin Bros. What about a Blazin grill... don’t they offer an insulated setup?

  • I don't know about insulated but IIRC they are double walled.

  •  A warm welcome NAVET from the " show me state".

You should find smoking on a pellet pit less work- there is a learning curve as with anything new. Lots of help here if required. :D
