Good deal, we always like it when a member can report something about their pit or cook and we can all learn something!

I know this is an old thread, but did you ever try the profile and how did it turn out?

I know that this is an old response to an old thread but, I tried it and the brisket turned out great. The point was juicier than the flat. I wrapped in paper. Next time I am going to inject and run the same profile, possibly next week.

Excellent,  I might try it too.

This is the Brisket profile on my GMG app.  Is this the same as yours?

185F grill temp for 5 hours
185F grill temp for 2 hours
185F grill temp until probe temp reaches 165F
225F grill temp until probe temp reaches 198F
Keep warm

Cheers, David

Never having used the app on mine, I'm a bit in the dark.   Why 3 different entries for 185f?

GREG-B,
I found the “recipe” on the GMG website.  The timing of the steps correspond to flipping and wrapping:

5 hours fat side up, flip
2 hours fat side down, flip
Fat side up again to 165, wrap

The app sends a notification at the end of each step, so the reminders could be useful.

Cheers, David

That's the one I ran. I did the flip also from the recipe in the book (see tewharaunz). My brisket was almost 11 pounds before trimming. The battery on my scale was dead so I could not measure it before putting it on the grill. I believe it took 11 hours.
