Pork neck...
« on: February 12, 2018, 07:56:46 PM »

I've never seen this discussed there or here. My son has a friend in Great Britton that sent him a pick of one that looked to be roasted/broiled, and it looked fantastic. He wondered why other people get such great pork cuts.

I never saw one until the recent SRF 'buy 6 get half off' sale posted here. Like Bentley, I don't have those funds available to me. However... I could spring for a neck on its own at a local shop.

Anyone ever cooked one? It appears to have the same structure as a butt, but twice as long.

I've only ever grilled neck steaks. I love them, it's pretty common bbq item in Germany (where I had the neck steaks). I haven't been able to find them here.

My Filipino friends love cuts from the neck.  They get it at the Asian markets.  I have never seen it at any other store.
