  • By the time most of you read this, the site will be secured with SSL, and add on's of code guard (daily back up) and hack alert (daily security for the sites).  Hopefully we stay off the radar for awhile...!

  • You that are here 1st, you will help shape this site.  Such as what should we do if anything about the name you get as your post count comes up and the color...

So I will now take suggestion as to what amounts to use. We have 15 colors but only 12 can be seen correctly so we will need to have 12 member levels!

What amounts do we use and where are the breaks i.e.? 50, 250, 500, 1000, 3000, 5000 What color at each level? What names do we give each level?

I need your input or I will Geek it up to much like I did on Pelletheads!

  • What are the fifteen colors?  And how do the colors work for the levels?  Do my posts change color or something based on how many posts I have made?
  • #4 by Bentley on 24 Aug 2017
  • They are the same colors as you see when you are posting in a thread, is just that some are hard to read, like this one(you cant even see white can you?..and this one yeah, yello is tough too...and this one I cant even find beige and this one pink is bad,,,so even with red, which I would not like to use, but it will be for Members with over 10,000 post, so that should take Members a few months...we only have 12!

    Black
    Red
    Yellow
    Pink
    Green
    Orange
    Purple
    Blue
    Beige
    Brown
    Teal
    Navy
    Maroon
    Lime Green
    White

Now white is after lime green, can someone smarter then me explain why this would have been put in as an option?  Do folks have forums with black backgrounds?

  • So, as I understand it, the color will be attached to the members name as it appears at the bottom of the home page indicating who is on line.

I vote to use the awful colors as the low number of posts colors.  So, start with pink, then yellow, then lime green.  That would get us up to 500 posts.

Anyone else want to weight in?

  • Why so many?
  • #7 by Bentley on 25 Aug 2017
  • Would not have to use them all, but I figured why not!

  • What are the names for the post count
  • #9 by Bentley on 26 Aug 2017
  • There are 12 usable colors out of the 15.  This is what I started with, let me say what we all know, I am dufus when it comes to stuff like this, so I would prefer others pick them.  Maybe folks can think of 15 or 20 and they can also decide on 15-20 post counts to go with them and we could have a poll in a few weeks to decide...sorry that folks down the road wont get any input...C'est la Vie.  That's what the ground floor is all about baby!

Edit: The more I look at the colors, the more it looks like it is only 11 and I am gonna have to say that red will have to go on the highest post count or we only have 10...to me, yello, pink and beige are just to hard to see...or maybe like Kristin said, give that to the Fresh fish!

  • I take umbrage on the second level of achievement.   I have never, nor will I ever use gas for anything other than lighting some lump charcoal.    [ Invalid Attachment ]

  • I know I was using it in 1991, but that was the last year I had a device with it.  I also had no choice but to use it in 2009 at a condo rental in Sand Point to cook some mighty fine Bison burgers!

And if I get real honest, I was boiling ribs in the early 80's!

  • It seems to me that I read that either Famous Dave's or Tony Roma's par-boils ribs.  If I had their money I'd burn mine.
