Auger making noise
« on: May 11, 2018, 08:43:50 PM »

Has anyone had a problem with their auger  making noise? Could it be a fan problem?  Any ideas my DLX is 4 year young.

A fan blade could easily be hitting a wire that has come lose!

My GMG DB auger got noisier when it was wearing on the bushing. I pulled auger and cleaned the auger tube and sanded any burs off of the auger shaft were it rides on bushing. Also lined the auger up when installing it. It was tilted downwards some. Just added thin spacer. Could be dust build up in tube making it harder to turn.  Hope it is just the fan clicking or creosote in end of auger tube.
