  • Vacmaster emailed me that they were having 15% off so I went looking for a wide 15" vac sealer. I went with the 380 put it in my cart and was hesitant on if I wanted to drop that much on this right now. The other night on one of the facebook groups a guy posted a code Larry2 and said he just bought the 380 for 190.00 so I went and tried the code sure enough the 400.00 380 dropped to 190.00 less than half price. Not sure if it was on just that product or if it is any. I got the sealer and 2 15x50 rolls for 220 bucks.

If anyone is interested in trying it, he said he got it off of another group.

  • Perfect timing!  My Food Saver has been having issues lately and the 380 is well spoken of on other sites.  The code did not work on the 350, but the 380 will do nicely.  FYI They are also offering 50% off on bag & rolls.
Ya'll have cost me money and saved me just as much, greatly appreciated.  Next I need a great deal on a 15# sausage stuffer.   ;)

    Thanks Big Dave.

  • My foodsaver is going to Goodwill!
The VacMaster 380 arrived and it is a major upgrade from what I had.  No new smoked meats to package, but I did load a few containers of nuts into smaller bags as a test drive.  I am very impressed with this quality of a unit!  The only down side is the size, it's a beast and wont fit in the lower cabinets.  Oh well, it will live with the other items I keep boxed up in a storage room.

    Many thanks Big Dave.

  • I am off work and that is where I have things shipped to. I will have mine Wed. with 2 rolls of 15" bags. It will work nice for larger SV items I can't get in my VP215.

  • I just ordered one but the price is $250 now, not $190. I ordered one anyway. Thanks for the heads up.

they had a 15% off sale that was until June 6 and I know they sent me an email saying it was extended but I don't remember the date.

the code take 150 and I think the 15% was 60 off the 400.

  • Thanks for posting - I've been wanting to replace my old Foodsaver for a long time now, and with this much of a discount, it is now on the way.

verapx got it for $190 yesterday and I got it for $250 today. I guess that is what I get for mulling it over for a couple days. They say time is money and the time I took mulling it over cost me $60. Before I posted here I emailed them asking if they could somehow extend that sale to me and I will see what they say. Either way I'll be fine with it. Thanks again.

AHH...I was considering buying at $190, but will not at $250 until my Foodsaver dies.  It is relatively new (6 months old).

  • I could use the 16" seal bar and for $190 I was tempted. However, I purchased a Vacmaster 350 on black Friday for around $140, but for $250, the 350 will have to do for now.  :(

  • Anyone own an LEM or Cabella's vac sealer?

My Foodsaver is about 10 years old but works fine enough. The 16" wide seal bar and the 15" wide bags were the driver behind my purchase. That equates to approximately 9.5" or so diameter circle and I think I can get a decent size whole brisket in there for sous vide. We shall see.

I use 11 1/2" bags and am able to get the flat from a 14 1/2# packer into them without cutting them in half.
