  • This is a family and friend favorite.  I sometimes just eat it as a meal after thanksgiving..lol.

    Dressing Recipe:

2    bags cornbread stuffing (or you can use your favorite stuffing.  It's great with any kind)
1    container of sliced mushrooms (fresh)
    2    cans whole cranberries
1.5 containers of boxed chicken broth (48 oz)
    1    stick of butter
    1    large onion (chopped)
    1    whole celery (sliced)
    1    cup red wine
2    1 lb packages of Jimmy Dean hot sausage

    Directions:

Saute sausage and set aside.  In pan, saute stick of butter, onions, celery, and mushrooms until tender.  Add in cranberries, chicken broth, sausage, and wine.  Saute for 40 minutes on low, until flavors mix.  Place stuffing in a large bowl and add all ingredients.  Bake at 325 for 40 minutes.

  • I’ve never seen canned whole cranberries. Do you mean canned whole cranberries sauce?  Would canned sweet cherries work?

  • It looks good, I'd like to try it. What size packages of stuffing and containers of mushrooms? It that a stalk or a whole bunch (8-10 stalks) of celery? Thanks for posting.
