  • Temp now is not fluctuating or spiking. It is between +40 too 100 degrees hotter than controller thinks. Also controller jumps 30 deg in one second once in a while. Bad RTD and or controller and not first one. Almost ruined good pork steaks with SOB.

  • This is sad to hear. Hopefully CC will help you get a resolution.

  • That's a bummer. Thank goodness you were monitoring the cook..Thinking out loud, if you like the pit and continue to have electrical gremlins haunt you, a 3RD party controller may be the answer.

Trying to decide weather to go that route and spend another $200+ or take a beating selling on CL. Buying a new grill is not a cheap option but could cut down on frustrations.

Homer, does that we will loose you?  Hopefully not!  Is there an other pellet pit you are considering?  :D

  • Perhaps things will change, who knows. Personally, I am glad you are still hanging around.

If the brand of pit and/or the poor support was the driver in deciding to sell your pit, rest assured not all American companies treat us Canadians poorly. I have had nothing but excellent service from Memphis

    in the US..
