I did a "hillbilly" sous vide to see if I liked what it would produce as a test run before I purchased my Anova
crockpot filled with hot water and a digital (Bluetooth) thermometer
vacuum sealed tri-tip roast (seasoned)
I had the alarms on my phone set to 130/35
when it went off, I'd switch the crock pot between low/med (I was probably adjusting it every 20-30 min) while I was working on a college paper
it turned out pretty well,
the next month, I ordered my Anova
