Great shots. I was just there for the first time last month doing a gig at NPR.  Had a nice dinner at The Pig. A bit upscale, but not too pricey and really good food- if you like pork.

Great photos.  In the old days before all this stuff on terrorism you use to be able to take the train that ran underground between the buildings that housed the members of congress and the Capital.  Not sure you can do it anymore with out special authorization.

They said you can, but it is very rare, you have to be accompanied by staff, and you can only be going away from the Capitol!

Last time to DC, I was particularly moved visiting the Vietnam Memorial.
I am a Vietnam era veteran, but fortunately I did not participate in any combat at all.

good memories Bent!!! went there a few years ago with the kids... at the Smithonian, American history, it was amazing to see Old Glory...not a dry eye in the place especially with Whitney Houston singing the National Anthem in the back ground!
