  • Girly softball and crew. Yeah... I'm a Dawg fan and post shizzle up about my Huskies.

Most of you know the routine.... I post/brag about the Dawgs because they're pretty good at what they do.

The Lady soft ballers are ranked at #3 today. UCLA swept the Dawgs in Seattle and are #1 in the nation. I don't think there's any question when it comes to whose best at this time.  The WCWS will sort that out in short order.

    Crew? Yeah baby...

Tomorrow will determine who is actually the best when the UW Huskies meet the Cal Bears at the dual on the Cut in Seattle. The history is steeped in Husky crew. And the Ladies keep up with the men.

As it's tradition, the UW crew has invited national powerhouses to the Windermere cup for the event. I'm not aware of any program that has done this.

  • I love to watch ladies softball.  When the WCWS is on I'm a moth to a flame if a game is on.  I don't really care which teams are playing.  The speed of the game is astounding.

  • A review of last years greatest moment:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3aaD4M3liE&t=8s

The Dawgs bested the Brookies here at home as well as at Henley. They lost to Yale at the IRA'S, and beat them at Henley to advance to the Temple cup final. The Husky boat was a configuration of 3 classes (sophomore/freshman/senior) . The Brits have a tendency to put 'nationals' in their boats.

The lady crew is currently ranked 1/2 depending on the polls.

The lady ballers are on a roll with 3 double digit wins in a row, and have won 16 in a row. UCLA is scary good this year, but lost last year to the Dawgs in the WCWS playoffs.

It's a good time to be a Husky fan. May the better team win.

  • As of 4/15 top 25.  OU ladies team on top, UCLA is 2nd.  Of course depends on the poll you follow.  Just watched the Sooners beat Texas x3 in Austin this week.  They are now have 32 straight wins and are 39/41 for the year. Should be an interesting windup for the season.
    Go Sooners!!!

No other program in the nation does what the UW does in rowing matters.

  • So... the Huskies defeat the German national team at the Windermere Cup. The Lady Dawgs finish 1st in their races.

The Ladies are headed to the NCAA rowing championships again. The men are going to the IRA's. Both teams are Pac 12 champions. Again.

Meanwhile, the Lady Ballers are headed to the WCWS this weekend. The Ladies, have arguably the best shortstop in the nation, and two of its best pitchers. WOOF!
