this was a full three hours ago, but I needed a nap immediately after eating this monster.

Smokin' Oak - Vancouver WA

The Fatty
Brioche bun, mac and cheese and brisket on the bottom, coleslaw and sausage on the top.   Plus house bbq sauce.  I chose to get it without the pulled pork (which is just average here.)

Dang thing was super rich, but a very nice treat.  One side of potato salad one of collared greens.

Can you really fit that in your mouth or do you have to take it apart?

I believe Smoking Oak is the one my SWMBO suggested not too long ago.  How's their ribs?

Bentley:  Sides are very modest here (quite small actually).
Kristin:  Cut in half, smashed down a bit and opened wide.  Wasn't that bad, I probably looked like Guy Fieri stuffing his face.
Greg:  Hands down the best BBQ in the SW Washington and Portland Metro.  Excellent sausage, excellent cornbread, collard greens best we can find around here anyway.  They only serve beef ribs for lunch on Wednesday's never had them.  Pork spareribs have been above average to average.   I don't really care for their pulled pork.    Brisket has been above average to average.   Get the the Smoke Stack or Texas Trinity (their two versions of a little bit of everything) and try it out.  While I'm just a beer guy, I'm told their bar is excellent.  I highly recommend giving it a try.

DK, thanks for the review.  Good Q is pretty hard to come by around here.  Sorta like good Chinese, very difficult.  Finally found one of those so will give Smoking Oak a try.  Thanks

dk, finally got to Smokin Oak BBQ today.  Got a trilogy of brisket, ribs and sausage.   I must say, for a restaurant I was pleasantly surprised with the ribs and brisket.  Beans were very good, coleslaw was ok but, like my wifes better.  Even my brother was impressed.  Will definitely go back even though it was spendy.  At least I was over full when I left. :rotf:
