Also, it is very difficult to find thick cut beef ribs for home. The ones that are sliced off the rib roast.
Restaurant depot sells in four packs if you have one close.

We bought a BBQ dinner package at a place in Sarasota for our kids last week.
It was plenty of food...good...but it was $112!!
Too pricey to do more than once a year.  ???

Once in a while we'll go to BBQ joints to eat. Just to try some one else's Q. I usually order Brisket.

We have two close by that we eat at once in a while. One is ok Q but has an amazing Cuban sandwich I love.
The other makes bbq I can’t come close to. All the other places within an hour drive we skip. we can do just as good or better.

I rarely go for Q, just make it here at home. When I do go I always order lean brisket because it's not my most reliable cook. We had guests and took them to the George Bush Library, so ate at one nearby in Dallas. I give a grade A for the brisket, A- for the collard greens. C for the sauce. Went to one recently near my home and had dry brisket; wife had dry chewy ribs, and bad sides. Place was pretty busy though, go figure. Texans might not know Q like they brag they do.   Dan
