2nd Round of Rolls.
« on: March 21, 2020, 04:15:40 PM »

Bought a Silicon form for rolls.  1st attempt was with the Hogie dough, fail.  Going on now is King Arther White Bread recipe, will see!

Much better, not sure that this recipe is suited for sandwich rolls.  I had a half of one warm, almost seemed like it could have taken a couple more minutes.  Will see how it does with that corned beef when it cools.

BentMan,

Do use your Thermapen and measure the IT when baking bread?
I did when I was on the bread scene, and it seems like I was getting good results at 190°

I do.  This recipe said it should be done between 190-200°.  These ended up at 197°.  I dont think they were over cooked, but maybe.

I can see why the bakers in ages past were Artisans, as I can't seem to master it.  Will be really interested to see how they do as a sandwich roll in a few more minutes when cool!
