Why I chose this grill
« on: September 23, 2017, 11:11:25 AM »

Ok, quality stainless steel grill at a great price was a huge reason, but after 10 years of fighting with ashes in my shop vac, the ability to simply dump the fire pot and sweep up the ashes sealed the deal.
I've just dumped the fire pot contents in the bottom of the grill a couple of times when I was ready to cook but the grill wouldn't light up because the igniter was buried. I'm cleaning it all out today.

I've been vacuuming mine, but this makes a lot of sense.

I can just dump it out into the bottom and vacuum once ever 5-10 cooks instead.

I've been doing the same. I keep a shop vac mini in my pellet storage bin.  When lighting, I just reach in the sear opening and dump the pot or vac it out.  Love the ease of use.  I've been foiling the diffuser so when I change that foil, I do a deeper clean with the vac.
