A place in Fresno called the Elbow Room used to serve a Steak Sandwich a little like that, a real steak.  Was like a Petit Sirloin on a Ciabatta type roll.

I ordered a cheesesteak in NYC about 30+ years ago and the picture I posted was very similar to what I surprisingly received in NYC back then.  I usually cook 4 steaks or so when I make them and use the leftovers for sandwiches like this or quesadillas.

Did a brisket today.

Great sandwich with a little green chili and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce.
Along with a little slaw and some bark to chew on.

Was a roll you made or store bought?  If store bought, do you recall the brand.  It reminds me of the Turano brand in the Chicago area.

Store brand, got them from Shamrock Food Service Warehouse.  Good, but not great.
Says BrickFire Bakery 6" Hoagie Roll pre-split.

I'll send you a dozen and you can send me a dozen Amoroso rolls.  :rotf:
