Our Ship Has Come in and Bent is Headed to the South of France

Well, I was just fooling around and putting pelletfan.com in a search engine and found a site that has already evaluated our worth:

"pelletfan.com is 4 weeks 5 days old. It is a domain having .com extension. This website is estimated worth of $ 8.95 and have a daily income of around $ 0.15. "

The daily income is WAY over-inflated, but we were staggered at the worth of the forum. We are contemplating selling the site, becoming dotcom dollaraires, and retiring to the south of France.   :pig:

Mine has no web page at all, and yours has thousands of hits and lots of members.

Makes me wonder who makes this stuff up. From a purely outside observation platform; one would 'think' that more is better. So..., it appears that members and 'hits' are not the determining factor. Advertising?  Pelletheads never had any advertising and its value far eclipsed this site. So what is it?

This stuff is way over my head; but I'd venture a guess that it's related to site activity over a 'length' of time. I'm sure advertising plays a great part in the 'ratings'.

It is nice to know that I'm in good company tho..  :rotf:

I have to say...all the "whats the site worth" site are BS! Our site is worth like $240!! The only thing I can figure is it is a numbers game on site visits. The higher the number I guess they figure the better exposure or "EYES" looking so the worth is in the amount of daily hits... Or at least that is my take on it.
I guess I'm old school and sites that are a business should be valued as such.

As far as PH... I assume it was valued based on hits, or "EYES" that saw it on a daily basis. I guess that site with the nude of me back in the 70's must be worth a TON!! ;)    :puke:   :rotf:
But seriously... as the wife says...NOBODY wants to see that!   Ha :'(

I doubt it was close to this, but the starting number relayed to me that was sought was $25,000. I'd be surprised if the final number was half that, but do not know.
