  •    A new Thermoworks product. These "probe spools" are a great idea for those of us that tend to store our probes in tangles, and often kinked, resulting in damage and frustration dealing with the

mess. Proper care can extend probe life dramatically.

Another tip to extend probe life is to shield the cable from direct heat: the space between the drip tray and the pit body. It's easily done by using a piece of aluminum foil a couple of inches wide and long

enough to bridge the gap. I have a 2x3" piece of light gauge metal that I keep with my probes for that purpose.

Remember Bentley's post above when purchasing Thermoworks products.

  • I saw those this morning and expect that at some point I will be buying several of them.

  • Cool gadget.  Reminds me of the old Apple Cores for wrapping small cables.

I just wrap mine around my hand and put Velcro around it.
They would be a little neater though.

EDIT:  Doesn't say if the price is for the 4 pictured or just one. I suspect just one. Seems pricey.
