  • Went to clean my DB on Saturday after I had noticed my side to side temps were kinda out of wack on my last cook. Seems the heat deflector on the bottom came apart. Looking at it closely the little "tack" welds were just that. Four welds on each side. I called up support, seeing how they had sent me this as replacement (new design) to the one I had on my new grill a few year ago. Just really poor way to assembly something that is going to take a lot of heat. I was a little disappointed they would only cover 25% of this. I had a pork loin and a brisket to cook so I had to fix it right away. $11 later for some machine screws, lock washers, nuts and a new drill bit, I was up and running again.

  •  Never nice when part of a pit fails.. There is a good chance your home fix might work out better than a replacement, plus no waiting on parts delivery.

  • So much has change on the pit in the 11 years since I got mine, I cant even see where the fail is.
