  • With them being 2"+ in thickness, will you grill, then finish in oven like the Steak Houses?

  • Was thinking just to grill. Really hadn't though about any other way.

  • I just picked up a ribeye roast for $5.99 a pound. I thought that was a good deal. You got a great deal!!

I am going to age it in the cryovac until Mothers Day and smoked the whole roast.

  • Think I would have filled up the deep freeze at that price.

Wallet empties pretty quick when you're paying $80+ for one roast.

  • By far my favorite meat, steak roast or really anyway. Nicely done.

I suppose.  I have always bought a half a beef at a time, so I am accustom to the pain of the large purchase, then I have no purchases for a long time.  Funny thing is, an entire half typically goes for about the going price per pound of hamburger.  In that price, you obviously get the good cuts and bad cuts.  At 4.99 a pound, your find is close to what I pay per pound for a half of beef.....and you get nothing but good cuts!
