  • I think there is a section for pellet discussions.  I've never had a problem with any brand, except for lil devil pellets from bi-mart (dust and low temps).  I'm sure these are fine, and I'm sure there are better quality ones at cookinpellets.com

  • I use B&B quite a bit since they're the best available here.  I've been very pleased with them.  They're around $12 a bag here, but if I went to San Antonio to an Academy they're $10.  Post oak is great for a brisket.  I like the blend if I can find it.  I mostly use mesquite or hickory. 

    I got some Smokehouse Blend pellets from Sam's a while back that are decent too.  Forty pounds for $15 with very little ash but the smoke wasn't all that great.  They have maple in them and I don't think I like the way it smells.

    Can't beat Cookinpellets.

  • I have used Oak, never post Oak.  Would love to smell them to see if there is any noticeable difference.
