  • I noticed Smoke Daddy has started carrying 3 RPM auger motors.  Has anyone tried one of these yet.  My Traeger Texas 34 Elite is setup with a Savannah Stoker PID controller and one of Smoke Daddy's 2 RPM auger motor.   The 2 RPM auger motor allowed me to just get to 400 degF.  However, recovery to set temperature is slow after opening the grill.  I contemplated buying one Savannah's 2.5 RPM augers but the price point was a bit high so I went with the 2 RPM motors from Smoke Daddy.

  • Did you ever try the 3 RPM motor?
I am also looking at it for higher temp and faster recovery

  •  I would think there would become a point where too many pellets would be dumped into the fire causing problems.

Low temperatures and smoke settings may be sensitive to the larger volume of pellets.  :2cents:

  • The maximum temp. on my Traeger Select W/SS4 controller is 375-400. I would like it to be hotter. Has anyone tried the 2.5 or 3 RPM auger motor on a Traeger Select?
