Long time, no make...
« on: September 18, 2021, 09:17:30 PM »

Have been making the no knead bread fairly regularly.  Decided it would be a real good sandwich for a Ruben, but forgot a Ruben is Corned Beef and not Pastrami,  So I give you a Pastrami Ruben with cole slaw and Russian Dressing, coming up.  Just took the Pastrami off the Memphis, Kristin said to much brown sugar in rub and I believe she is right.  Going to run it through the slicer right now!

Pretty good.  You would not think that Pastrami would make that much of a taste difference over Corned beef but it really does.  Corned Beef all the Way for me on a Ruben.

That looks great. Either pastrami or corned beef works for me.
That bread would make a fantastic roast beef and cheddar sandwich.

Was thinking the same thing 02, but it is now lunch time for me.  Going to have left over chicken and tri-tip street tacos from my tailgate yesterday.  Not thinking they will be as good as Bent's Ruben, although the tacos were great yesterday.  Sammie looks great Bent.
