Taps Across America - 3PM Local Time Monday
« on: May 28, 2022, 01:39:37 PM »

For a third year, CBS is marking Memorial Day by inviting musicians across the country to honor our fallen soldiers by playing Taps during the National Moment of Remembrance at 3 p.m. local time.

I haven't  played my trumpet since high school but after seeing this announcement on CBS News, my wife told me to start practicing.

I used to be able to play it on my Cornet. But that was 50 years ago, as I recall, I could do it without fingering!

I remember that too but I forgot which keys.  It has been over 50 years since high school band so some things get lost in my memory along the way.

My oldest daughter in Florida was ribbing me about still having the chops to play trumpet.  She was in high school band also.  She entered band as a flute player and her band teacher moved her over to a school provided flugelhorn because they had too many flutes.
