In general, I feel that the USPS has been delivering packages via media mail much quicker than a year or so ago.  I'm talking I've received something from CA in two days that would have taken at least 1.5 weeks not too long ago.  So, IMO, something has improved in their operations.

UPS is a little different story.  I think things are taking a day or two longer with them than previously.

If Amazon is controlling the supply chain, I feel their times are pretty accurate and generally fast.  I've received some same day deliveries.  If it is a 3rd party vendor involved that is fulfilling the order, it does take longer than direct out of the Amazon warehouse somewhere.

Amazon is dropping the ball this week.  First time in a long time that I have had trouble with their delivery dates.  Have three orders out there now that will miss their expected deliveries by 1-3 days.

Update from an earlier post in this thread.  I did receive the package that went to Puerto Rico via USPS by mistake.  And, it was in pretty good shape too.  I went to local post office to let them know.  They found a picture of it in their system and requested I file a request online regarding a lost package.  That would get post office locations from the route from Puerto Rico to here looking for the item.  Then there would be another step or two I could do after that.  Tried that.  Filled out online form and it failed to send because something wasn't working on the USPS site.  Two days later, I could see the package shipped out of Puerto Rico and then ultimately made it here a few days later.

Amazon shipping is more and more of a joke as it goes on. Free 2 day prime shipping usually takes 3 to 10 days, now some items in the order will say 2 day Prime and they get you with Prime shipping on other items. Maybe it depends on the warehouse it is being shipped from.

They have a huge warehouse and an airport 15 minutes from my house so I usually get pretty good service.  I guess I am fortunate for that when their supply chain is working as planned.  I can very frequently order things today and get them delivered tomorrow.

Well, I have a nice Fedex story!  :P A couple of weeks ago, I had a camera and some lenses that were scheduled to be delivered. That morning, we had a severe thunderstorm blow through. It dumped about 3" of rain in an hour and a half, causing the ditch that runs next to the road in front of our house to flash food, putting about 100 feet of road under water(only a couple of inches, but still), and the 60mph winds that came with it snapped the top off of our dogwood tree, blocking the driveway about 75 feet from the road. Our driveway is about 300 feet long. Anyway, I got an email that afternoon (after the power came on) saying that my package had been delivered! The next day, I contacted them, and they said the package was marked "delivered" by mistake.(I then made the mistake of not getting the guy's name).

I waited several days. No package. Tried to contact Fedex again, dealt with the robo compaint thing, and they gave me a case #. No reply after a day, so I contacted the people who sent the camera, perhaps they could do something on their end? Fedex said the package was delivered, period. The camera people said I would have to file a police report in order for them to file an insurance claim.

1. I would think it would be against the law to file a police report on something that was never stolen.
2. Fedex usually has a photo showing the package delivered when they send the "package delivered" email. This one, of course, did not have that.
3. At the time of delivery stated, my driveway was blocked, so no delivery could be made at my house. Besides, I was looking out the window at the time to see if any of the other trees had fallen down. At no time was there ever a Fedex truck at my place.
4. I live in a rural area. Who is going to come up my driveway(which is blocked) and steal a package(with me watching the very area the package was supposed to be delivered)? ::)

Fedex has had a history of postponing deliveries 2-3 days until there are enough stops in my area to make it economical for them. From here on out, I'll have to arrange Fedex to drop off packages in Owensboro(15 miles away), if there are no other alternative to Fedex. When I get back from my vacation, I'm going to complain some more to Fedex. :pig:

Nope! I'm guessing that it is either in a truck or the  warehouse in Evansville,  IN! Or someone at FedEx took it home, who knows!

Around Christmas, our doorbell rang and it's our FedEx driver, he brought a toy (gift) for our dog Tina. During the year, every time he delivers, Tina vigorously greats him when she is in our gated front courtyard.

I got a strange one with Fed ex today. My wife bought a lot of lotions body mists and body creams to give as gifts throughout the year. Package said it was supposed to arrive yesterday but it didnt. We are in Iowa and today packaging says it is in transit to San Fidel MN. I have never heard of that town so I did a search and found out there is a San Fidel NM. Thinking I messed up and read it wrong i went back to the fed ex tracking and it does indeed say MN, looked several times. So I used the online chat, which tells me AI is useless, but I finally was able to get a number to call. After calling and pressing this for that and that for this finally got a person I that made the AI chatbot much better customer service but the person said that the package tracking number I gave them from their website does not exist. So wife called company she ordered from and they looked it up and it shows to them it was delivered in Goodyear AZ. They told her that they are going to research this and if they have to will ship replacements 2 day, just asked her to give until the end of the day to hear from them.

I've had pretty good luck with USPS and UPS, but recently had a case where FedEx used the same tracking number for two different packages, sent from and to different addresses. I don't know how that could even happen, but it did, and caused quite a bit of confusion.
