  • I have decided to sell my Memphis Elite and wondered if any of you had suggestions on how much to ask for it.
I purchased it new in December, 2017 and have used it a few times a year.   I would consider it to be in very good condition and I have never had any problems with it.   I just don't use it enough since my wife won't eat much of the food I smoke on it (ribs, pulled pork) and I can't justify keeping it to cook a turkey or rib roast once or twice a year.

  • I don't how much of a market there is for high-end grills.
If in really good condition, I typically sell for 50% of new price.
If you put in on Craigslist, you will a lot of competition from low-end grills.
So price would most likely need to be less that 50%.
    Just my  :2cents:

  • Thanks Bruce.   I was thinking of asking $ 1500.  I agree that there are a lot of low-end grills listed on Craigslist-I don't really want to list there if I can help it.

  • Seems like a good price.  Good luck.

Generally the going price for a used pit in good condition is roughly 50%..  However, this in not only a high end unit with little use, but a USA model.  These are excellent pits that have an excellent reputation..

Depending on the urgency to sell and your willingness to hold firm, I would opt for something in the 60% range.. Time is on your side with Summer just starting...

Just make sure the pit is spotless and ready to fire up.  Any pellets might sweeten the deal if you have some you aren't going to use..
