Anyone try an uuni pizza grill?
« on: October 23, 2017, 08:03:58 PM »

A pellet pizza grill that can get up to 900F. Looks cool but kind of dangerous. I love new toys but I'm wondering if this might be more trouble than it is worth.

I don't own one, but I have experienced a friend's. It is actually quite wonderful, and if I didn't have all this BBQ kit already, I'd consider buying one.

I was holidaying with a bunch of friends in connecting cottages, and we had my GMG DC with us. This other friend was holidaying with his wife a few miles away, and they came over for a BBQ. A few days later, they came back, with the grill in their car, and fed us - not only did it cook pizzas well, it turned them out as fast as we could eat them (he had pre-prepared the dough).

If the stone was bigger I would get one.

Well my wife says I don't need it, and she has a point. The pizza attachment I have for my Weber works quite well and is probably easier to use even if it won't cook a pizza in under two minutes.  She says if I want a real pizza oven I should get a big one. That's tough to argue with, but meanwhile I'm going to keep practicing with my crusts.
