I'm just a newbie at pellet cooking so I will defer to ya'll on that. I started using pellets for cold smoking and I purchased what was available to me without doing much research, I figured they were all the same. I am a bit more educated now and I only use 100% species pellets for cold smoking. I will avoid those that have added oils, artificial flavours, binders or chemicals. For cooking in the GMG I will use the best quality I can get at the best price. Luckily I can get GMG, Pit Boss, Camp Chef, Cabela's and Traeger all locally. Thanks to a JimAZ on here I got a load of Pit Boss for $9 a bag and a few at $4.
Conumdrum, I am glad the links were useful. We don't know their current practices, but legal documents provide a look into their past.
