Title: Noisy Auger YS-640
Post by: bten on October 25, 2018, 12:24:27 AM
I purchased a used YS640. It works great and I have already cooked the best ribs I ever had on it.  I did notice that the auger makes noise when it runs. Is this normal?

Mine does but it's very very little noise.  Might make sure it's completely clean in the auger tube.

It is definitely auger noise.  I sounds like rubbing on one side.  It is intermittent.  Have you ever removed or adjusted the auger?

Try contacting Yoder.  You never Know. There may be an update or a resolution...There is always a chance a foreign object got wedged in the system, but unlikely.

cooking right now, I hear the auger, starting to think that I may be ok. Not really that noisy. It really is more of a buzz . Working from home today, I am cooking a pork butt to increase the seasoning.

I may call Yoder tomorrow.
