  • Like BBL, I got mine with my grill years ago and used it until the first rain.  Where the side shelves meet the cooker body are seams in the cover that leaked.  The water went into the pellet hopper and it wasn't pretty.  Maybe they've changed the design since.

  • The current model is more one piece.

  • I bought this for a third of the price and liked it better.  However, I don't cover my MAK anymore while it is on the patio.  And, I bring it in the garage from Thanksgiving until Easter.

  • Again, like BBL, I went to Amazon too and bought this one  This is the fourth cover.  I found a Weber that fit but tore it on the sharp 1-star corners.  Then I bought another that had no UV protection and it fell apart.  This current one has gone through two summers and a Maine winter exposed to the elements and still looks like new.  Very happy with it so far.  I cut a few inches off the bottom and had my wife sew a new hem.  The image is before shortening.

  •  I have found most if not all OEM covers leak..Just hold them up to the light and you will see why..The cost relative to quality is high as well...GO CUSTOM - The quality is top notch and the prices are at times lower than OEM.

I agree go Custom. I have had great success with Covers by Mel. There is another person in Canada I believe who makes a custom one. Sorry don't remember the name.

  • I used the Mak cover for a couple years till mine started to wear at the corners. My wife made me a custom cover out of marine vinyl fabric for my birthday that should last me long into the future.

  • I have two MAK 2 Stars both with covers. The first one is from 2009 and is still in use (As well as the 2015 model cover). Like any tent that's continually exposed to the elements it will need applications of Scotchgard from time to time to help stay water resistant. It's very simple to Scotchgard while it's on the MAK.

  • I hope MAK returns to the larger MAK label on their covers. The 2009 version was at least a third bigger than the 2015 version.
Makgrills, why did they reduce the size of the label on the covers?

The cover on the grill is the 2009 version. The folded cover on the ground is the 2015 version.
