How’s the Bluetooth range?  It’s usually not great.

I've not had a problem with it. I normally monitor progress in my office which is about 35' away through 3 walls, one of them being brick.

Update- I had some questions about the 4 Probe so I contacted Thermoworks. As usual they were prompt with the reply stating that relative information would be available shortly when the unit is officially

released.

$229 - Just placed my order.  And **** I forgot to use the pellet fan method to give them credit.  Don't be stupid like me when you order yours.

I ordered some of the cable extenders too.  They always come in handy.

The Fireboard uses a cloud-based solution to store data and info as well as an app for IOS or Android - meaning, you can also get to it via any browser on the internet.

Does the app availability for iOS & Android exclude Windows with Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge?  Not that I care 'cause we're iOS/MacOS users but there are a lot of Windows users who may be excluded.

EDIT:  Oh, after re-reading your post I see that those who don't use iOS or Android can still access their data via any browser rather than the app.

I will most likely post a review once I receive it if Bentley is OK with that.

Lew: With your many pits and extenders, the 4 Probe could be used on four of your pits at the same time.

I just noticed the operating range is stated as 32-122F.  I wonder if this just means the display doesn't work well at cold temps or the whole things stops working when it is freezing outside?

An email blast from Thermoworks just arrived minutes ago.  An FAQ question is can I use it in the winter, and the answer is you can leave it out for long periods of time, even during the winter.  Not sure how that aligns to the stated operating range, though...

I made an inquiry to Thermoworks about their stated operating range of 32-122F and their FAQ about winter operation.  Here is their response:

Hello,

Thank you for your email. While the ideal range is 32 to 122°F, because we know that our customers need to use it in the winter, we have done extensive tests on Signals and have validated that it works well in colder temperatures. We also took care to increase its waterproof rating to IP66. We do not, however, recommend storing Signals on a permanent basis outside. If you have any other questions or concerns please let us know.

Best regards,

Well, that was quick delivery from Utah to Eastern PA.  The mail service just dropped off the package a few minutes ago.  Looking forward to trying it out.

I didn't buy one of these because I thought that the price was a little stiff for a gadget that I have ten others that serve a similar function. But having seen the specs. and read their response, I'm glad that my frugality won out. Their response is lame, it seems to me like they are saying that you can use it below 32° but if it fails, it's on you. Here in AZ if you are cooking in the summer sun, I'll guarantee you it will exceed 132°.   ???
