Lemon Bars
« on: June 27, 2023, 08:34:40 PM »

I don't have a lemon bar recipe.  I found dozens and dozens on line, so this is not about someone just posting some recipes for me.  I am interested in knowing whether anyone has a favorite recipe they use and is willing to share.

Thanks!!!

I have tried some locally made ones and I guess never thought they were special enough that I wanted to make them.

For me I will just take the lemon filling on it own, no crust or any thing. And a plus if it is the translucent lemon over the cloudy. Woman used to make it for me growing up wish I had learned how to do that.

Thanks.

One of the folks celebrating an AA birthday asked Bent for a lemon dessert.  I hate lemon cake and refuse to make it.  I would have to make two pies and my meringues suck, so did not want to go that route.  Lemon bars seemed the best path.

It is strawberry season here, maybe some graham cracker crusts and make a lemon pie filling with strawberries on top, and just use whipped cream.

I've never made lemon bars but I would try this one from Thermoworks.

I love lemon bars. From my limited knowledge, that recipe looks like the real deal! Time tested and church potluck approved. You cannot beat that combination.

Lemon bars were well received by my PT folks.  Not saying what recipe I used as I am still experimenting and trying to use them all.

Those look really good.
I have never made lemon bars but I can say with 100% confidence that what ever they say in the recipe, add more lemon, and then a little more.
