Title: Thermoworks "DOT", Has a Light

 Just received the news today from Thermoworks. The famous Dot thermometer now has a back light. To activate, push any button.

Nice product.  I think I have 3 of the original without the backlight and without the bluetooth.

Hmm didn't realized they added bluetooth. Like you I have 3 of the original ones so maybe one day when they bite the dust I will purchase new ones.

I get the backlight but why the bluetooth?  Is it really necessary?

I'm sure they did it because WiFi is the rave these days. Probably was an easy thing to add.

Probably easy to add and to connect into their phone app.
