Title: New addition to the outdoor “kitchen”
Post by: Fire708 on October 16, 2022, 03:17:18 PM
My new Pitts & Spitts arrived! New learning curve since it’s quite a bit different then My Louisiana. So far I’m impressed with the quality.

 Nice looking pit!

I for one would be interested in your learning stages of this new unit.. That is how it compares to the pits you have used.

The pivot point is in the center of the barrel.  It isn't like a traditional hinge.  It took some getting used to for me.  I guess it is a roll top.

Seems like it would be a much easier way to open a pit.  Especially for the vertically challenged or those that have issues raising there arms above their shoulders.

It is easier.  I'm not real tall so it is perfect for me.  You just have to get used to the height difference of where the handle ends up.

Sorry for the delay in reply.

Yes! I wasn’t sure how I’d like it but it’s really smooth to open and doesn’t need a counter balance. I’m really happy with it.
