  • $11.98 for 20# ( Not $12.99 ; On Lowes web site; select stores ).  Yes, they are labeled 100% hickory.

That could save me a couple hours in the car.  The closest place for me to get 100% hickory is 50 minutes away.

Order 600# from cookinpellets or Lumberjack then it will be in your garage. ;)

  • Pretty expensive. $23.96 for 40 lbs. Price and availability of brands and wood types varies depending on where you live but I wouldn’t pay more than $17 for a 40lb bag.

  • 0.60/lb is not outrageous when you are not buying in bulk.  I know a few folks that wish they could get pellets for that price...

  • I guess I’m spoiled. I have two LJ dealers nearby that sell for $17/40lbs or less for non-bulk buys.

  • Lowes.com says my local Lowes has hickory, oak, cherry and comp blend for $11.98. But the specs say 10lb bags.

Sure does !  I stand corrected ( I didn't check and assumed 20# - who only needs 10# ??? ).  No deal here.  I can get Lumberjack shipped in from Rural King in small quantities for much less than that.  And when I'm ready for larger quantities I can drive there - about an hour away.

  • If 10 pounds is true it’s about the worst price I’ve ever seen.

Well, I stopped by my local Lowes this morning.  The bags are indeed 10# for $11.98.  Curiously, they were well-stocked with the Kingsford's.  They had maybe 10-20 bags of Hickory, Cherry, Oak and Competition all stacked up in front of a nice display.  This spring, Lowes had a big stack of Pit Boss pellets on display, so I looked for them.  I only found one bag - it was marked down and labeled "Clearance" !

  • I'm sure they will sell. You have to remember their target market.

  • Too expensive more my taste.

  • People will buy them up left and right because of the name I bet

    I agree.

  • I agree with the "target market", but the current price will keep me sidelined.

Yes, you are not in the target market.
