I've always used it as a smoker and won't use it as a grill so smoker it is for me.

Back in the early fifties when we lived in Arizona, BBQ was done over a "pit" in the ground. They would be very long cooks involving a full cow.

How about "That thing on my deck out of which comes amazing food"?
