Anyone recommend a grill mat for placing under their pellet grills? The used Blazin that I bought last year is dripping grease on my patio. I would prefer it dripped on some sort of mat. Ideally, I could spray the mat with a hose to clean if necessary. This is not a mandatory requirement though.

I was looking at our treadmill a few days ago (we use it as a clothes rack) and noticed the heavy rubber mat under it. That mat is supposed to catch the shoe-sole dust that wears off as we accumulate treadmill miles (fat chance). Anyway, I think that would make a great mat for under a pit.
It came with the treadmill so I don't know where to direct you.

I got some fake turf, Lowes or the like, about .60/sqft, I got about 4x6, should have got about 12 x 10...It washes off great, but next time I would invest in the literally heavier weight stuff as the wind blows this around to much.

Any other thoughts?

What ever's cheapest with an absorbent type of material on top and a hardish rubber type bottom.
My pit doesn't leak much at all, so a 10 dollar welcome mat at Fred Meyer works great.

A while back we put a beautiful outdoor carpet on an old cedar deck. In just a few summer months there was algae growing on the wood under the carpet.
We threw it out and the sun quickly killed the algae. So I'm thinking that whatever I put under my pit will need to be rolled up and stored when I'm not smoking.
That may not be a concern for concrete but I wouldn't bet on it.

I've used these at competitions that required a drip tray/mat.

About five years ago I purchased one of these mats (http://www.homedepot.com/p/The-Original-Grill-Pad-42-in-x-30-in-Rectangular-Berry-Black-Deck-Protector-GP-42-C-BK/202448124?MERCH=REC-_-PIPHorizontal1_rr-_-100328284-_-202448124-_-N) called a deck protector. I've a composite deck and it works as promised. The material is very stiff and heavy and was great for my gas grill.
